Snow can really do that to you. Especially when you’re driving. Which is not a good thing. There’s so many ways to watch the snow as its coming down. You can just watch it like its rain and get the whole picture, which is still pretty confusing because it doesn’t just come down, it blows every which way. Or you can hone in on a small section and watch it as it moves in slow motion.

Thats what gets me. The slow motion. I kind of feel like I’m in a time warp or something. Life just halts. And then I remember that I’m driving. And I supposed to be paying attention to the hazardous conditions. And then that slow motion stuff gets me again. And I’m back to my slow world. So for the duration of my drive, I blinked about ten times more than I normally do to attempt to dispel that other worldly feel. And I safely made it to my destination where I was able to sit down, drink a hot drink, and allow myself to become hypnotized.

About A Story of Us

My grandparents 57th wedding anniversary and my first wedding anniversary motivated to journal the adventures life brought our way . I hope to amuse the friends and family I have all over the country and, when I am my grandmothers age, look back at what I have written and chuckle. It's been four years since I began and the snickers I bring myself as I look back propel me to write on. Cheers to the future and happy memories of the past.

OK…visit Virginia in the winter is now an official goal of mine…we just need to push for it to be some time when the kids are old enough to dress and undress themselves in their snow-friendly attire. We really should try a house swap some time! Could you imagine? Heaven for us both.
