to be at the beach.

It really is just kind of another world. We lived out at the beach the month before I got married and people would ask me, ‘So are you getting all ready for the big day!’ and I would be like, ‘wedding? oh yeah, well, I’m at the beach right now and…yeah! can’t wait!’ Time just sort of slows there for me. Problems seem less monumental. I think part of it might be the hypnotic cadence of the crashing waves. I could stare at them all day. And I enjoy being in them too, just not all day. Bit chilly for that.

It brings the kid out in you. Especially if you have dogs. And especially if you’re dogs are as entertaining as Cody and Tessa.

The stretch of sand and the amazing beauty of sunsets just makes me occasionally want to leap for joy and take off running.

(thats me and dad and the dogs in the distance.)

If there is a more peaceful place on earth, I have not found it.

About A Story of Us

My grandparents 57th wedding anniversary and my first wedding anniversary motivated to journal the adventures life brought our way . I hope to amuse the friends and family I have all over the country and, when I am my grandmothers age, look back at what I have written and chuckle. It's been four years since I began and the snickers I bring myself as I look back propel me to write on. Cheers to the future and happy memories of the past.

Yes it is so very peaceful, even more so I would think when you are able to stay for a month. I miss it there.
