a few things.

1. Last winter, when we had feet upon feet of snow, Wesley was out with a friend about every other Saturday in the search of good wood. We weren’t exactly prepared for the elements.

2. Because of that, our Saturdays have been full of wood. Driving here, driving there to cut down dead trees, splitting here, stacking there, etc. We now have wood all over our property but Wesley’s not finished yet.

Its under our balcony.

Its on our back deck

Its on the right side of our property,

And its on the left.

And in various locations around the property.

3. Because of our wood chucking activities, I assumed we’d be back at it this Saturday. Not so. We got up and Wes said, ‘Let’s go to Starbucks for breakfast.’ And so we did. After we enjoyed our drink and various pastries, he asked me where I wanted to go next. ‘Like, you’ll take me shopping places?’  I stuttered.  ‘Yes,’ said he. And off we went. It was a delightful day.

About A Story of Us

My grandparents 57th wedding anniversary and my first wedding anniversary motivated to journal the adventures life brought our way . I hope to amuse the friends and family I have all over the country and, when I am my grandmothers age, look back at what I have written and chuckle. It's been four years since I began and the snickers I bring myself as I look back propel me to write on. Cheers to the future and happy memories of the past.
